PVC Wrapping: This is the most common type of housing for small and medium-sized lithium batteries on the market. The outer layer is simply a PVC heat-shrink film, and it can come in different colors such as blue, black, or yellow. The color does not affect performance. Manufacturers typically avoid adding a hard plastic case because it would increase the overall size of the battery. Many small electronic devices are designed with extremely limited internal space, so keeping the battery as compact as possible is essential. Since these batteries are installed inside a device, having no external hard case is completely fine and does not affect normal use.
Waterproof ABS Case: 12V lithium batteries with ABS cases are commonly used in outdoor solar lights, security cameras, and similar applications. The main reason is that this type of housing offers a high level of waterproof and weather-resistant protection, making it ideal for outdoor environments. It also comes with built-in screw holes, which makes installation very convenient. Of course, ABS-case batteries can also be used in many other products depending on your specific requirements.
